EVENT VIDEO

Witness of the Warriors

Real words from real men who experienced the mission firsthand

What part(s) of Boot Camp had the strongest impact on you?

• Squad time. One on one time. Men need to open up to men. • The genuine nature of care and good nature. EVERYONE was respectful and caring. • When I was able to communicate similar wounds and healings with other men. • I had some great individual talks outside of that with guys. The fireside chats really hit this time around.

What’s your next move? What changes are you planning to make in your heart, your habits, or your relationships?

• Making time for my family. Not waiting for conversation to start but to bring the conversation out and up front. • To fix the wound in my family to contact and communicate more with everyone more. • Going to examine the “agreements” in my life and also discuss with my wife about the agreements she’s made in her life. • Carry this momentum on, share with others. • Pick my walk with God back up.

Feedback on the Fireside Father/Son Blessing Ceremony

• It was cool hearing what my dad had to say about me. • It meant a great bonding moment of brotherhood and joy. • It’s a powerful ceremony. • I was 53 when my father passed away a few years ago; we never had a positive relationship. Seeing fathers speak blessings and words of affirmation over their sons in the presence and witness of other men was soul stirring - it underscore the need and impact of a father and the need for Godly men to invest and pour into the next generations.

In your squad - share about the connection, vulnerability, safety, and challenges.

• Each one showed up for each other in our dark confessions and our light hearted story of experience through life. • The level of transparency was to say the least amazing. I learned that I'm not alone, I've learned that most men have similar struggles - we just engaged them differently - some with more success some with less. I not only felt a sense of camaraderie and a bond with my squad, but I found brothers who I can stand shoulder to shoulder with in my time of need and theirs as well. • Made a friend for life in my group, someone that I will use as a should or ear in life. • Made great connections with the people in my squad and enjoyed everything they came to offer.

Additional Comments

• All of the above. It brought me to view things in a way I never saw before. • Overall it was great. Came in as a skeptic and left in tears of happiness. • This was my second time attending boot camp. It made such an impact on me in May that I had to share it with others, so I scholarshiped two men to attend. Hearing their feedback, confirmed this investment in their lives was well worth it in terms of the positive impact it had on their relationship with Jesus and other men. In fact, it was the best ROI I could ask for.
