Orientation
Materials
-
Focus on the Family provides The Truth Project study guide. Band of Brothers will not be supplying it. If you’d like a copy, you’ll need to purchase it separately. It’s recommended, but not required for participation.
Study Journal:
-
It is strongly recommended that you bring something for note-taking and future reference, allowing you to build a personal inventory of insights, observations, and material from each session for later review.

Preparation
-
All: Please come and be prepared. Preparation allows you to stay fully engaged, take notes, and capture the highlights that speak to you—so you’re ready for discussion.
PRE
-
All participants: As you pray for God to move in the lives of those in your sphere of influence, begin thinking about how you can promote this event.
-
Become familiar with the online content and where to find it.
DURING the 13 weeks
-
All participants: the content is rich. Attempting to follow along with Scripture during the video may distracting. Each of the 13 sessions has its own dedicated page. At the bottom of each page, you’ll find the scriptures related to that specific session.
-
All participants: It is strongly recommended that each participant use a Band of Brothers notes journal. This creates consistency, keeps your thoughts organized, and gives you a resource to return to.
Table Time Format
The roundtable discussion will last approximately 20 minutes. Each question should be addressed by all, with the table host managing time to ensure all participants have the opportunity to respond.

The follow-on prompts are provided as optional guidance to help the table host clarify questions, rephrase as needed, or draw out additional input.

Each table:
Open in prayer
Discuss the following three questions:
1. What did you learn that you didn’t know before?
• Why did this catch your attention?
• What made it stand out or feel new to you?
2. What spoke to you most from the video?
• Unpack that for the group
• Help us understand why it impacted you
3. What is your takeaway (application in life)?
• What are you going to do with this?
• Be specific—what is your next step, and why?

Consistency of Discussion
These three questions will remain the same every week—intentionally.
While the topics and content will change, the goal does not:
1. New understanding
2. Personal impact
3. Practical application
We are not just watching content—we are training ourselves (and others) to process it, internalize it, and act on it.

Overview
The Truth Project is a 12-lesson (13-session), video-based small group curriculum created by Focus on the Family to teach a biblical worldview. Led by Dr. Del Tackett, it equips participants to apply Christian truth to everyday life, exploring areas such as theology, science, history, and government, with insights from experts like R.C. Sproul.
Designed with the idea of orientation and direction in mind—much like a compass—it provides a simple framework to help guide and align your thinking. It focuses on four essential questions:
-
What is truth?
-
Who is God?
-
What is man?
-
What is Cultural order?
