Witness of the Warriors
Real words from real men who experienced the mission firsthand.
What did you like best about Boot Camp?
• I was able to open up, as well as other guys, in my squad. And these guys have given me great advice. • Very Christ-centered. • Seeing men get awakened! • Sharing stories/sharpening iron/covenant of silence. • All of it. Mostly squad time, the covenant of silence, and the father/son blessing/affirmation ceremony. • Renouncing the agreements made…. (with satan) • Reclaim who I am and what it takes to be the man I’m supposed to be. • Excellent, well organized, beautiful and comfortable venue. Study materials were excellent. Videos educationally entertaining. • Me and my dad had one of our most intimate conversations where we both confessed wounds each of us has had on the other. It was a moment of love and forgiveness and has drastically deepened our relationship. Tears were shed…it was beautiful!
How are you going to apply what you’ve learned through Boot Camp?
• Identified and breaking agreements w/ Satan. (Lots of men mentioned breaking agreements) • Pray the agreements away constantly when they show up as well as in deep reflection to continue to conquer them. Encourage others to do the same and share the impact of the change from the experience of the weekend. Also, to not let myself find my identity/pleasure/validation in anything except Jesus Christ!! • Going to examine the “agreements” in my life and also discuss with my wife about the agreements she’s made in her life. • I’m going to lead and love my wife and family better. • I’m going to dedicate more time for Bible reading and meditating on my reading. Add time for quietness and reflection at least on a weekly basis. Also take a little more time for R&R. • Continue “The Great Excavation” uncovering wounds and dismantling “The Poser” in me. Cancelling all my false agreements with Satan, too. • I’m going to focus on having a better relationship with my son and wife. • Be more generous, spend more time with family, and letting go of pride. • Be more intentional with my words, especially with my son. Pray with my wife. • I'm going to keep my journal handy for reference. I'm also keeping in touch with my new brothers to help keep other accountable.
Feedback on the Fireside Father/Son Blessing Ceremony
• Very cool to see and hearing the adoration and lifting of young men. • I loved being blessed by my dad! • It was great watching fathers and sons make time for confession and commitment…It was really amazing!
Please elaborate on why you rated your Squad the way you did
• Loved the generational diversity. • Great to connect with men having similar issues and experiences. • The squad has been very open and transparent throughout the weekend. They’ve also been willing to pour into each other and willing to accept input. • It was all so raw. Nothing was held back. Super encouraging! • Everyone was open and honest, sharing their heart felt struggles, leaving us all with a better understanding that this life can be a battle ground.
Additional Comments

Loved it. • These events take lots of time and effort, so great big thanks to Del and all those who took the time to ensure a great experience for us all. May God continue to bless the ministry as men seek to disciple and be discipled and grow to know and love the Lord while all the while spreading the Gospel through word and deed! • I’m going to recruit men more aggressively to go with me.
